Chris Horaist - Percussionist

The urge to play music, particularly percussion instruments, struck me early in life.  I recall the day a band teacher came into my 5th grade homeroom class and asked whether any of us kids would be interested in joining the elementary school band.  I couldn’t raise my hand fast enough.  And I knew exactly what instrument.  I played from that year all the way through High School in the concert and marching bands.  My first drum-set experience was as a senior in High School.  It was then when me and a few friends started a country cover band, White Lightning, and played in bars through my college years in LA.  Yes, some of it underaged, but in LA that was commonplace.  I’m now enjoying rekindling my passion for music with Festus.  Festus is a high energy variety cover band playing favorites from the 70’s to current.  The variety is fun to play and always entertaining for music fans.
